Le Crazy Horse
History: May 19th, 1951 - Avant-garde artist Alain Bernardin opened le Crazy
Horse, a wine cellar where costumers admired Rita Renoir, Poupée la
Rose, Bertha Von Paraboum, Lova Moor or Rosa Fumetto
Featured a succession of Racy Burlesque Routines
Charles Aznavour had his 1st break
1960s - Bernardin took modernity, and redeveloped the show to reflect
cultural changes
1989 - A remodelation was made, converting it into a tiny theatre with
raked seating
1994 - Alain Bernardin died, and his sons and daughter Pascal, Didier
and Sophie Bernardin took over the establishment
1991 - For its 50th anniversary, le Crazy Horse travelled to Las Vegas
1995 - Bernardin family sold the establishment, and a new team took
over the company, headed by Andrée Deissenberg
October 2006 - Dita Von Teese performed as the 1st ‘Guest Star’
2007 - A complete renovation was made
Autumn 2008 - Philippe Decouflé expanded the company´s repertoire -
the show named Désirs premiered on September 21st, 2009
